The origins of Biffy Clyro stretch back to 1995 when Simon Neil and Ben Johnston first started playing music together at just fifteen years old. Soon after, Ben’s twin brother James joined on bass, solidifying the lineup that has remained constant for almost three decades – a remarkable feat in the often-turbulent music industry. Initially performing under the name “Screwfish,” they honed their distinctive style in the Scottish music scene, gaining a reputation for their energetic live shows and experimental song structures.
