Volbeat

Volbeat, a Danish rock band, was formed in Copenhagen in 2001 by vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen. The band’s early years saw a fusion of metal, rockabilly, and punk influences, creating a unique sound that set them apart in the rock scene. The lineup also includes guitarist Rob Caggiano, bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen, and drummer Jon Larsen. Volbeat gained local success with their early albums, but it was the 2008 release of “Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood” that brought them international recognition. Their blend of heavy riffs, catchy melodies and Poulsen’s distinctive vocals appealed to a broad audience. Subsequent albums like “Beyond Hell/Above Heaven” and “Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies” solidified their position in the rock and metal world, and they achieved mainstream success with hits like “Still Counting” and “Lola Montez.”
