KISS, formed in New York City in 1973, is one of the most iconic and flamboyant rock bands in history. Comprising Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss, the band adopted larger-than-life personas with elaborate costumes and face paint, creating a visually striking and theatrical image. KISS gained widespread attention with their energetic live performances, featuring pyrotechnics, elaborate stage setups, and Simmons’s infamous fire-breathing and blood-spitting stunts. The release of their self-titled debut album in 1974 introduced the world to their hard rock sound, marked by anthemic choruses and catchy melodies. However, it was the breakthrough success of “Alive!” (1975) that catapulted KISS into stardom. Hits like “Rock and Roll All Nite” became anthems for a generation.
