Ghost

Ghost, a Swedish rock band, was formed in 2006 by the enigmatic frontman Tobias Forge, who portrays different personas, including Papa Emeritus and Cardinal Copia. Ghost gained widespread attention with their debut album “Opus Eponymous” in 2010, blending elements of hard rock, metal, and progressive rock with a theatrical stage presence. The band’s imagery, characterised by their anonymous, mask-wearing “Nameless Ghouls” and the charismatic, anti-Pope character of Papa Emeritus, adds a mysterious and occult dimension to their identity. Ghost’s subsequent albums, including “Infestissumam” (2013) and “Meliora” (2015), propelled them to international stardom. Their breakthrough came with the Grammy-winning “Meliora,” featuring the hit single “Cirice.”
