Bring Me The Horizon

Few bands have undertaken such a dramatic and successful sonic evolution as Bring Me The Horizon. Originating from Sheffield, England, in 2004, this audacious quintet has continuously redefined their sound, moving from aggressive deathcore and metalcore to embrace a captivating blend of alternative rock, electronica, and even pop. Their willingness to experiment and push boundaries has not only alienated some early fans but has also garnered them a massive, diverse, and fiercely loyal global following, cementing their status as one of the most exciting and trending acts in modern rock.

The band was formed by vocalist Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, and drummer Matt Nicholls, with keyboardist and programmer Jordan Fish joining in 2012 to become a pivotal force in their musical transformation. An interesting fact about their name is its inspiration: it’s derived from a line spoken by Captain Jack Sparrow in the film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, “Now, bring me that horizon.”

Their early releases, like the debut EP This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For (2004) and the full-length album “Count Your Blessings” (2006), were steeped in a raw, brutal deathcore sound, characterised by guttural vocals and blistering riffs. This era quickly established their intense live reputation. However, even then, hints of their future versatility were emerging.

An interesting fact highlighting their current creative output is the surprise release of their 23-track album, “Lo-files,” on July 11, 2025. This unique project features lo-fi reinterpretations of songs from across their celebrated catalogue, showcasing their willingness to explore different sonic aesthetics and offering a fresh perspective on their existing work. This release, made in collaboration with various lo-fi artists, underscores their ongoing desire to push musical boundaries.

Beyond their studio albums, Bring Me The Horizon are renowned for their electrifying live performances. They have consistently delivered high-energy shows, headlining major festivals like Reading & Leeds and Download, and wowing audiences at events such as Glastonbury. Their dynamic stage presence and the powerful connection they forge with their fans make every concert an unforgettable experience.

Looking ahead, Bring Me The Horizon are set to continue their busy schedule. They are confirmed headliners for Reading & Leeds Festival 2025 in August and will embark on a significant US Arena tour throughout September and October 2025, including a sold-out date at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. With their ever-evolving sound and relentless drive, Bring Me The Horizon remains at the forefront of contemporary rock music, continuously surprising, inspiring, and captivating their global audience.
