Hailing from the sun-drenched city of Marseille, France, this dynamic quintet has swiftly ascended the ranks, establishing themselves as a formidable force through their electrifying blend of raw aggression, soaring melodies, and genuinely heartfelt lyricism. Their unique sound, often described as a compelling fusion of hardcore breakdowns with anthemic, almost pop-punk infused choruses, sets them apart in the ever evolving heavy music scene.
The story of Landmvrks began in 2014, originally under the name Coldsight. Founded by vocalist Florent Salfati and drummer Nicolas Soriano, the band quickly started to forge their distinctive identity. Interestingly, Salfati, who now commands the stage with his versatile vocal range – seamlessly transitioning from guttural screams to powerful clean singing – initially envisioned himself as a guitarist. However, after a fruitless search for a lead vocalist, he bravely stepped into the frontman role, a decision that undoubtedly shaped the band’s magnetic stage presence. With Rudy Purkart on bass and Nicolas Exposito joining on guitar, the core of Landmvrks was set, eventually leading to a name change that better reflected their evolving sound and aspirations.

It was their 2018 follow-up, Fantasy, released under the German label Arising Empire, that truly saw them gain significant international traction. This album demonstrated a clear evolution, incorporating more experimental elements and refining their signature blend of melodic metalcore with subtle touches of nu-metal. The band’s tireless touring across Europe, including impactful appearances at major music festivals like Hellfest, further solidified their reputation for delivering exhilarating live performances.
A significant moment in their journey came with 2021’s Lost in the Waves, an album that not only garnered widespread critical acclaim but also achieved a notable chart position in Germany. This record saw Landmvrks push their sonic boundaries even further, weaving in elements of punk rock and even hip-hop, demonstrating their willingness to innovate within the metal genre.
